Six technical officers from the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration (VNMHA) visited WMO/RIC Tsukuba from 1 to 3 July 2019 for training on surface meteorological observation as part of the Project for Strengthening Capacity in Weather Forecasting and Flood Early Warning Systems run by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
The trainees paid a technical visit to learn about calibration equipment and facilities at RIC Tsukuba and attended practical training on AWS maintenance using Tsukuba equipment. The training is considered to have been successful and to have contributed to the mutual development of meteorological services provided by VNMHA and JMA.
